Excellence in structural engineering is not only needed in designing buildings but also in complex civil structures. One of those is the new Sewage Treatment Plant of Limassol at Polemidia which can only be completed by a highly specialized and experienced design team of engineering leading experts, as it is composed of more than 30 different structures. The new sewage treatment plant of Limassol is being constructed at the Polemidia area, on the west side of Limassol district.

The new plant will have a treatment capacity of 13,000 cubic meters per day and will process a biological load of up to 6,760 kg a day, using the most advanced technology in the field of biological wastewater treatment plants. Furthermore, the project includes the design and construction of a large number of water retaining structures of various shapes and volumes, buildings, roads and utility networks. The objective of this project is to expand the capacity of the Limassol-Amathus sewerage system and correspond to the needs of a rapidly-expanding city.

A. J. Pericleous has undertaken the structural and civil engineering design of Limassol’s new sewage treatment plant. Our highly experienced team has completed the design of more than 25 sewage treatment plants in Cyprus and abroad.  By utilizing advanced FEM software and our proprietary internally developed detail design software we are able to deliver efficient and effective project design for our clients Kruger-Cybarco JV, which is in line with the very strict requirements of Eurocodes.
